Lisianthus

A beautiful annual, with bluish green, slightly succulent leaves.

The name Lisianthus comes from the Greek words lysis, meaning dissolution and anthos, meaning flower.

Flowers are large funnel shaped growing on long straight stems.

They make a excellent cut flowers and are grown commercially too.

Lisianthus like moist, well-drained soil and a good amount of light. This is the first time i have grown this plant and its so beautiful. Now i regret buying only one plant. Well will try propagating some from its seeds.
