Parvati River



Parvati river is the main tributary of Beas River, It rises from the snowy upstream of Manikaran valley on the foothills of the main Himalayan range in Kullu District. Several tributaries join the main Parvati River and numerous waterfalls cascade down the steep valley sides. It merges with Beas River at Shamshi in Kullu Valley.

The Unusual Blend


Two major rivers of kullu , Parvati in right and Beas in the left at their Sangam in Bhuntar.
It rained heavily in the manikaran valley thats why the water in Parvati is all muddy.

Long way to go


Parvati is a major tributary of Beas river and it meets the beas near bhuntar. A view from the Jia village near Bhuntar (9Km from Kullu).
